Get to Know Our Owners: David & Erika Villa

The Cleaning Authority - Tyler is owned by David and Erika Villa, both of whom are children of migrant farm workers. They both learned at a young age the true value of hard work.

“I used to beg my mom to let me go to work on the farms,” said David. “She never wanted me to, but one day when I was about 16 years old she let me and I lasted about an hour and a half. I definitely learned what hard work is.”

David spent the majority of his adult life working for Brinks where he worked his way from a driver to a supervisor. Eventually, he became the manager of the Fresno market. For more than a dozen years, he learned a variety of different responsibilities and wore a lot of different hats. It was, however, always his dream to own his business. Erika graduated from Fresno State University with a B.S. in Criminology in 2008 and went to work for the Fresno County Office of Education where she helped to assist special needs students.

The couple has since moved from Fresno, CA to Tyler, TX to pursue their dream of owning a business. For Erika, who was born in Tyler, the move is somewhat of a homecoming. In their new home, the couple intends to stay engaged in the community—specifically through the Boys and Girls Club, the Special Olympics, and by supporting local children in need.
