2018 The Cleaning Authority CARES Recipients

Zack Parker The son of Cris Parker of The Cleaning Authority of Frederick, Zack is currently studying Painting at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in Baltimore, MD. Zack is very passionate about his education, studying abroad in Italy last summer to further develop his skills while exploring a new culture and environment. Going into his senior year at MICA, Zack will use the scholarship to finish his degree so that he can focus on his career rather than student debt and possibly move on to graduate school.

Kaitlyn Spurgeon

Kaitlyn Spurgeon Kaitlyn has been a dedicated and hardworking employee of The Cleaning Authority of Grayslake for the past three years. Pursing a degree in court reporting at MacCormac College, she commutes nearly three hours to class several times a week while continuing to work full time for The Cleaning Authority. Kaitlyn excels both in her classes and as a Certified Professional House Cleaner. She is a trusted worker with excellent customer service skills and a talented student with great potential.

Mayra Alejandra Osorio Flores

Mayra Alejandra Osorio Flores Mayra is the daughter of Liz Flores Velasquez of The Cleaning Authority of Knoxville. She is a very smart and devoted student and was named Valedictorian of her high school class. In the fall, she will attend Maryville University in Maryville, TN to study business analytics and computer science. She hopes to use her scholarship and continued education to give back to her community that has encouraged and helped her to reach her goals.

Claudia D. Moya Sanchez

Claudia D. Moya Sanchez Claudia is the daughter of Iscela Sanchez at The Cleaning Authority of Round Rock and is currently a student the University of Texas, Austin. As undergraduate and law schools are expensive, Claudia plans to use this scholarship to help accomplish her dream of becoming a lawyer. It has been one of Claudia’s lifelong goals to attend college, as she was enrolled in Austin Community College’s Early College Start Program at her high school and has already shown her capabilities, achieving a 4.0 GPA at her current university.

Itzel Garcia

Itzel Garcia Itzel is the daughter of Laura Razo of The Cleaning Authority of Salt Lake City, currently studying at the University of Utah. As a member of the deaf community, she feels strongly about pursuing her degree in Linguistics so that she can help lessen the communication barriers between the deaf community and police forces around the country. Itzel is also a first generation college student and wants to make her family proud with her passion for learning and helping the community.

Vanessa Limon

Vanessa Limon The daughter of The Cleaning Authority of San Antonio’s Maria Garza, Vanessa is currently pursuing an associate’s degree in Creative and Communication Arts at Northwest Vista College. She is a strong leader, and hopes to take advantage of this strength in her future career as a teacher. Vanessa is also the first in her family to attend college, and wants to be a positive role model for her younger family members. Since she was young, she always pushed herself to be the best she could be, and hopes that this scholarship will help her achieve one of her most important goals of transferring to Our Lady of the Lake University to complete her teacher’s education.

Lillian Evans Lillian is the daughter of Rebecca Evans, one of the head Trainers and Certified Professional Housecleaners of The Cleaning Authority office in Spring, TX. Lillian is currently pursuing an Associate of Arts degree at Lonestar College, and hopes to transfer to a four year university to study Business Management. She has a passion for learning and will use the scholarship so that she will have more time to spend on her classes and future internships in order to achieve her dream of becoming a real estate broker.

Ximena Iridian Altamirano Acosta Ximena is the daughter of Gabriela Acosta from The Cleaning Authority of Albuquerque and a student at the University of New Mexico (UNM). At UNM, Ximena is a dedicated and outstanding computer engineering student and Dean’s List recipient. This scholarship will alleviate some of her financial stress and allow her to spend more time on her studies and pursuing research and internship opportunities.

Andrea Shooshanian Andrea currently works full-time at The Cleaning Authority of Fenton as a Certified Professional Housecleaner and Trainer. She recently completed her Associate’s Degree in General Studies and Arts at Mott Community College in December 2017 after eight years. Next, she is determined to earn her Bachelor’s in Communications at the University of Michigan, Flint, and possibly pursue a Master’s Degree in Social Work. As a single mother, Andrea is an extremely dedicated and hard worker and wants to show her daughter the importance of education. She also plans to use the scholarship to aid in her education so that she can not only improve herself, but better her community as well.

Madison Robinson

Madison Robinson Madison, the daughter of Jessica Robinson of The Cleaning Authority of Frederick, graduated from Linganore High School this past spring and will be attending Frederick Community College in the fall. Furthering her education is a priority for her as she hopes to become a forensic scientist. Madison is a very hardworking and motivated student who wants to make the world a safer place through her career and help bring justice to victimized families. Eager to begin her journey in this career path, she took classes at the community college during high school, and continues to be inspired to reach and raise her goals to even greater heights.
